Parents for Parents (P4P) program connects parents who have successfully navigated the Juvenile Dependency Court system with parents who are involved with a child welfare court case. The program provides outreach, education, and peer support to help families understand the dependency process, access resources, and stay engaged so they can reunify. Parent Allies offer mentoring, resources, and guidance through classes such as Dependency 101/201, helping families feel supported rather than alone.
Akin supports and strengthens Washington state families through behavioral health, early learning, family & community well-being, and early relational health programming. From prenatal to adulthood, prevention to intervention, the programs and services are built to create nurturing environments and systemic improvements for families.
